White Structure

Complex matters

Leveraging 15+ years in the OOHC sector, we have a special interest in the "hard stuff." We wrap support around parents and carers to stabilise relationships and stop the cycle of instability.

For parents - what presentations we work with:

If your child is experiencing anxiety, "big feelings," or behavioural challenges, or trauma responses, you aren’t alone. We help children and families navigate:

  • Anxiety & Worry: Tools to manage on-edge or big feelings; separation anxiety; and school refusal.

  • Behavioural Difficulties: Moving away from conflict toward collaborative problem-solving.

  • Neurodevelopmental Support: Affirming care for children with ADHD or Autism.

  • Social & Emotional Milestones: Supporting kids who feel "out of sync" with their peers.

  • Trauma: Working through traumatic experiences with children and families to assist you to move forward.

  • Working with parents and care givers: At Jigsaw, we also work with the parents and/or carers of the child client to provide psychoeducation and support the family unit.

our evidence-based approach:

  • Collaborative & Proactive Solutions (CPS): We help families identify the "unsolved problems" behind challenging behavior, focusing on skill-building rather than punishment.

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): Empowering children (and parents/carers) with practical tools to manage anxious thoughts and emotional regulation.

  • Neuro-Affirming Therapy: We work with your child's brain, providing a safe space for neurodivergent understanding, growth, and advocacy.

  • Trauma-Informed Care: We use TF-CBT; EMDR; Narrative Therapy; and IFS-related therapies for specialised support for children and families / care givers navigating complex family dynamics or life stressors.

  • Bi-lingual therapy: Psychologist Hongwei Jia completed child therapy in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese
