
SUPERVISION & TRAINING
Director of the practice, Jordi Tome, is a AHPRA board approved supervisor. Jordi is able to supervise clinical registrars, registered psychologists, and provisional psychologists. Jordi's interests and expertise range from assessment to therapeutic intervention.
Jordi's most keen interest is in the formulation of how childhood adverse experiences (trauma) affect development relating to neurodevelopment, emotional responses, coping skills, and daily living. Importantly, Jordi is highly interested in how to help people heal and lead normal lives using an empathetic, person centred approach. Jordi's main set of expertise come from working with cohorts of children, young people, and adults, who are experiencing the child protection system, or who are in or associated to NSW Out of Home Care (OOHC).
Jordi is proficient in modalities and frameworks including, CBT, TF-CBT, EMDR, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Schema, the neuro-sequential model, Polyvagal Theory, biological burnout management, plus much more. Jordi is also interested in supervising people doing psychometric assessments, particularly of complex presentations, using a trauma-informed and strength based approach.
The director of Jigsaw, Jordi Tome, has extensive experience training other psychologists, allied health staff, support workers, and corproate staff. Jordi has lectured in areas of trauma informed formulation and treatment, managing burnout and vicarious trauma, problematic and harmful sexualised behaviour, transitions, gender and sexuality, and much more.
Jordi's trainings are generally fun filled, despite some of the topics being problem saturated; interactive; and highly informative. Jordi is happy to complete training and consultation online or in person, and enjoys being invited to workplaces to assist where is needed.
Jordi is highly experienced in consultation for businesses, schools, and allied health practices. Jordi's expertise in mental health, burnout, child protection and out of home care, and management, can help organisations with their management and staff needs, and help create plans for ongoing wellbeing of organisations.
